The Byrd Tern is a non-locking folding knife that offers an exceptional balance of practicality, cutting ability, and Spyderco style. Inspired by this synergy, we adapted its design to create the Spyderco UpTern with a backlock. A proud member of our Value Folder family, it features a completely flat 8Cr13MoV stainless steel blade, textured index finger and thumb ramps, a durable stainless steel handle, a strong backlock mechanism, and a fully configurable four-position clip. Available with PlainEdge or CombinationEdge edges, its symmetrical design and fully accessible round hole make it suitable for carrying and use with either hand.
